Kandy has been tremendously helpful in the training of our puppy. She has taught us a lot about anxiety in our dog which we had never experienced before with any of our previous dogs and knew very little about. She has taught us strategies in how to deal with this in our dog, and she has also taken our puppy to parks and on walks, allowing him to experience anxiety in a safe setting. My first introduction to Kandy was under hard circumstances. I was looking for pet care for an upcoming trip. At the time, we had three dogs including a 15 year old pit bull named Homey who was in ailing health. Right around the time I was
looking for care, our old guy took a turn for the worse. I remember having a conversation with Kandy, whom I hadn't even met in person, where I was in tears trying to figure out what we were going to do. Kandy had impeccable compassion and understanding for what we were going through and made me feel completely comfortable. She shared her own experiences and made some good recommendations as well. Her genuine spirit and love for animals was evident before we even met. After Homey passed away, we did end up finally meeting Kandy and arranging for her to take care of our other dogs during our trip. Since that time, I continue to use Kandy when we need and she's always fantastic.Whether I need her for a last minute pop-in, or for a planned trip, I just shoot her an e-mail and she responds within a few hours. I can tell Rocky and Hana have had a great time and I feel totally comfortable having Kandy come to our home. She's very professional and always leaves a nice note to let me know how the visit went. Also, I like the fact that she has a background working at a veterinarian office because I feel like she's sensitive to animal health issues and might notice something others might not in my absence. We adopted Sugar at the Super Pet Adoption in September. We fell in love with her at first sight. Being first time dog owners, we were very inexperienced in training, caring for and managing a wonderful dog that was still a puppy even though she weighed 45 lbs! During our first weekend with Sugar, she managed to escape twice. We felt like we were way in over our heads. After getting Kandy’s name from our Vet, we decided to give her a call. We noticed a huge difference in Sugar almost immediately! Within a week, she was walking well on a leash,
she was able to follow many commands (such as sit, stay, and lie down).
Without Kandy, we are not sure that we would have been able to handle Sugar. Kandy’s Kritter Kare and Consulting made a world of difference in helping our shelter Lab to become a loved and special part of our family! With our busy schedules, it is very comforting to know that Kandy is coming to take care of our little dog during that day. It is very obvious that Sugar looks forward to her visits!
